Acne Scars
Acne scars form as a result of severely inflamed acne lesions; When acne occurs near the skin’s surface, the wounds usually heal without scarring. However, deeper lesions and acute inflammation can cause damage at the dermal level, resulting in acne scars such as “ice pick” or “pitted” scars. Acne scars often become more noticeable with age as the skin loses collagen.
Alma’s non-invasive acne scar treatments diminish the appearance of both depressed and raised acne scars by remodeling the deeper layers of the skin, increasing the formation of healthy new collagen and evening out the skin surface.
