  • 2000

    Alma Lasers, originally named MSQ, is founded by its 4 founders in a small office with the vision to develop the world’s leading innovative and practical medical aesthetics technologies.

  • 2002

    Alma releases its first diode laser hair removal platform-the Mythos 500.

  • 2003

    Alma introduces a first-of-its-kind multi-application aesthetic treatment platform based on the company’s patented AFT (Advanced Fluorescence Technology), an advanced form of IPL technology.

  • 2004

    Alma launches its Unipolar Technology- the 2nd company in the world to harness radiofrequency technology for aesthetic treatment. Alma’s proprietary UniPolar technology remains unique in the industry to date.

  • 2005

    Alma opens direct Sales & Marketing operations in the US.

  • 2006

    Going against the grain within the industry where non-ablative laser technology was standard, Alma pioneers the first Fractional Ablative laser with the Erbium Pixel. Alma later extends their fractional ablative technology to the CO2 laser.

  • 2006

    Alma launches their groundbreaking In-Motion SHR technology - the world’s first laser hair removal method that is virtually painless. Alma’s SHR remains the leading method of laser hair removal around the world.

  • 2006

    TA Associates completes a multi-million dollar investment in Alma Lasers, owning 73% of the shares.

  • 2007

    Alma harnesses ultrasound technology for body contouring treatments with the development of its patented cold ultrasound shear wave technology. This breakthrough innovation is offered in combination with hot ultrasound and RF technologies in Alma’s Accent face & body contouring platform.

  • 2011

    Alma develops the iTED skin barrier breakthrough solution - the first truly effective method of Trans Epidermal Delivery based on fractional ablation and ultrasonic energy. This technology is featured in Alma’s IMPACT module.

  • 2012

    Alma Lasers acquires the assets of Quantel Derma and establishes Alma Lasers GmbH. This acquisition brings to Alma an expanded portfolio of high quality standalone laser and UVB applications, making Alma Lasers the world’s leading provider of innovative technologies for medical aesthetic practitioners.

  • 2013

    Alma Lasers establishes its surgical division, Alma Surgical, to offer minimally invasive surgical procedures using the power and precision of laser technology. Alma Surgical offers outpatient solutions in the fields of Gynecology, ENT, Liposuction, Hyperhidrosis and Vascular procedures.

  • 2013

    Alma Lasers is acquired by Fosun Pharmaceutical Group, solidifying Alma’s presence in Asia and promoting the company’s business development around the world.

  • 2015

    Alma Lasers opens a subsidiary in India, Alma Medical Pvt. establishing a local presence in the Indian market and increasing its outreach in the region.

  • 2015

    Alma Lasers launches the Alma Beauty brand for Aestheticians, offering a gentler approach to aesthetic care based on Alma’s medical aesthetic solutions.
